Juanita Castillo Garza, 88, born in Riverdale, Texas was granted her wings on August 6, 2012, as she was called to the Lord from her home in Frisco, Texas.
Her final days were spent surrounded by her loving family. Juanita lived a blessed and memorable life. Her gentle smile, the softness of her hands, and loving heart brought so much love and joy to us all. She enjoyed shopping, going to church, spending time with family and reading her bible.Juanita was married to Meliton Jose Garza, Sr. on September 1, 1940 in Robstown, Texas where they later raised 15 children. They settled in Frisco, Texas in 1964.
Juanita is survived by her children, seven daughters, Barbara Gallegos, Maria Weltz, San Juanita Anzualda, Elva Gonzalez, Sylvia Garza Ruiz, Raquel Garza, Yolanda Gallardo; eight sons, Meliton Garza, Jr., Jose Rodrigo Garza, Ramiro Garza, Manuel Garza, Jose De Jesus Garza, Jose Reynaldo Garza & Raul Garza, along with their spouses; 35 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren, and family pet Chihuahua (Guera).
She is preceded in death by her husband, Meliton Jose Garza, Sr. that passed away in 2000.
Visitation was held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco on Wednesday, August 8, 2012. A mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Thursday, August 9, 2012 with Father Zachary Webb officiating. Interment followed at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.
