SUMERLIN
Leila F. Sumerlin, of Coppell, TX, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012, 2 weeks short of her 105th birthday.
Leila was born on July 12, 1907, in Britton.She graduated from Mansfield High School as valedictorian in 1925. She was in the first graduating class of Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1933.
She is survived by her five nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and great-nephews; 22 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; one great-great-great-niece; and numerous extended family and friends.
Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 23, in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment followed at Mount Olivet Cemetery. A visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 22 at Mount Olivet Funeral Home, 2301 N. Sylvania Ave., Fort Worth, TX, 76111, 817-831-0511.
