Motorcycle accident claims life of Plano man

FRISCO -- A Plano resident was killed Wednesday night when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a vehicle on southbound State Highway 121.
Josh Gasson, 22, was following a Lexus passenger vehicle on his 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle when the driver of the Lexus attempted to turn left onto Custer Road, said Sgt. Brad Merritt of the Frisco Police Department, the department which investigated the accident. Gasson, who was in the same lane as the Lexus, struck the back of the vehicle.
"It looks like the motorcycle operator failed to slow down and may have been following too closely," Merritt said. "However, in Texas we don't assign fault. We just list all of the contributing factors on the accident report."
Merritt said Gasson was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and was transported to Medical Center of Plano, where he died Thursday morning.
