Fourth of July festivities draw near in Coppell
By Jim Kilpatrick, Staff Writer
Train rides, bounce houses, face painting, games, live music and, of course, fireworks are just around the corner.
There is a good time to be had by the entire family at Andrew Brown Park beginning at 7 p.m. July 3 and will conclude with a fireworks display after dark to allow everyone to see the display that is planned. .
“Pack a picnic or enjoy the various food vendors that will be in the park selling tasty treats that will make your mouth water,” said Sherri Lewis, special events coordinator. “This event is one that will go down in your yearly planner as a family tradition.”
“So, hop in the car and come over to Samuel and Parkway Blvd. and scope out the perfect spot along the parade route,” Lewis said. “The sights and sounds will start meandering down the route at 10 a.m. and will end at Town Center Plaza.”
Check out the city of Coppell Web site for the details on the Fourth of July fun at www.ci.coppell.tx.us.
“We don’t want anyone to miss out on the excitement,” Lewis added.
