Town reschedules mosquito spraying
By Chris Roark, Staff Writer
The town of Flower Mound has rescheduled its mosquito spraying for 10 p.m. June 12 because of inclement weather.
The spraying, which was originally scheduled for 10 p.m. Thursday, was canceled because of windy conditions. Perry Robinson, environmental health services manager for the town of Flower Mound, said the town can spray as long as it’s not raining and as long as the wind is blowing less than 10 mph.
The spraying will take place in the general area located south of Justin Road to College Parkway and east from Long Prairie Road to Timber Creek Road. It is expected to last until 4 a.m. June 13.
The town decided to spray after a resident was recently diagnosed with West Nile fever.
